Intro to dance
NYC top tier dancers will teach you the steps to your choice of dance styles. This class will start from the very beginning of the dance form and give you a taste of what the genre is about. Exercise clears our heads and recharges our brains, and dance IS exercise or people wouldn’t say things like, well, yeah, he’s in great shape, he’s a dancer.
Movement gets serotonin and endorphins flowing and greatly affects our moods and our ability to manage our behavior. The added bonus of choosing dance to be your form of exercise is that it is communicative rather than just meditative. It is social rather than isolating. Dance is expressive and cathartic unlike other forms of exercise.
Participants: Up to 20 people
Styles: Beginner level; Contemporary, Salsa, Line, Ballet Barre, Intro to Modern Dance Techniques, and Hip Hop
Ideal Space: 9 ft/6 ft. or greater
Time: 1hr. Free-Standing Introductory Class
